Leonard George Baldwin
|
Leonard Baldwin was born sometime around 1866 in Pennsylvania (most likely Jessup, Susquehanna County, PA). His father was Amos B. Baldwin and his mother's name was Eliza. Lorenzo married Frankie Drake and had a son named Charles H. Baldwin. Amos B. and his son Ezra both moved from Arcadia to Ohio before the 1900 census of Dayton, Ohio was taken. Amos was the son of Silas Baldwin (who in 1849 married Nancy Bolles). Given that Amos was born around 1844 Nancy Bolles was not his mother. Silas had the following children living with him in 1850: Isora (age 14) and Amos (age 12). In 1860 the following children were in the household: Anna J (18), Amos (age 16), and Flora E. (age 8). The ages (at least of the older children are not correct). In 1880 Silas and his wife are living with his daughter, Mrs. A. Isora Walker. By 1940, almost 40 years after his father's death, Ezra P. Baldwin had moved back to Arcadia.
