Mark B. Allen
Mark B. Allen was very easy to learn about. He was living with his wife Mary Kellogg and twins, Byron and Bessie age 14. Mark was a carpenter by trade, born around August 1849. In the State Census of 1892 we learn that Mark and Mary had an older daughter, Vira, born around 1876 and another older daughter, Minnie, born around 1872. In this census they are living in Marion, Wayne County, New York. In 1870 we find Marcus Allen living at home with his mother, Emiline Voorhees. He is already married but has no children. In 1860 we find Marcus living with his mother, Emeline, and siblings: Nancy, Elisha, and Charles. In 1850 we travel to Root, Montgomery County, New York and we find Abraham (spelled Abrahen) Allen with wife Emaline, and children: Henry, Nancy, Eletha, Marcus and Charles. Mary Jane Kellogg Allen was born on February 14, 1849 to Rodney and Harriet Bailey Kellogg. She was married in 1870 to Mark B. Allen. She passed away in 1936 in Pittsford, Monroe County, New York.
