In 1860 he is living in Ontario, Wayne County with his siblings Reynolds, Mary, Alva, Eliza, and Alfred. In 1870 they are still living in Ontario and have a new edition, Ellen Wermes. Ellen is 11 and is their servant. By 1880 Ernest has married Mina (Wilhelmina) and had two children: Joseph and Florence. Ernest was a carpenter. In the 1900 census of Arcadia, Wayne County, New York Ernest is living with his wife, and three children: Joseph, Florence, and Mary K. According to the census Wilhelmina and Ernest were married in 1873. In 1910 the family had moved to Rochester, Monroe County, New York. Wilhelmina VerdouwWilhelmina Verdouw was born in 1853 in Holland. She was the daughter of Isaac and Cornelia Quaars Verdouw. Wilhelmina was living in Williamson, Wayne County, New York in 1860 with the following siblings: Jacob, Abram, Isaac, John, Cornelia, and Matilda. Isaac, Cornelia, Wilhelmina, Jacob, and Abram were all born in Holland and can be seen immigrating in 1854 aboard the Isabell of the Philadelphia. The census of 1900 claims that Isaac's wife's name is Katie (the name stays this way from 1892- 1900 then returns to Cornelia for the 1910 census). I believe this is still Cornelia, and that they were married when they were 21 years old instead of for only 21 years. Isaac Verdow's obituary is listed below. For an unknown reason, his daughter was not listed on this as a survivor of his, but she was alive at the time of his death. She passed away in 1910.
