The Bailard Family
Isaac Bailard was born on August 16, 1828 in Holland, the son of Adriaan and Joann Levina Burggraff. He had many siblings: Adriaan; Jannis; Jacob; Abraham; William; Gillis; and Frank (a write up about his son Frank Jr. can be found here). Sometime before 1870 he was married to Susanna Pieternella Jansen who was also born in Holland. It seems likely, from the Civil War Records, that Isaac's brother Willis (most likely William) and that they were in the United States prior to 1865. In the 1870 census of Palmyra, Wayne County, New York we can find Isaac and his wife, Susan with their six year old son, Edward. In 1880 there are two other children, Anna and Willis (William) listed. In the 1900 census William has gotten married to a woman named Jennie, they are living with his parents in Palmyra. In June of 1904 Isaac Baylord (as the Americanized last name) died.
Edward Baylord
Edward Baylord was born in Palmyra around 1855. He was the son of Isaac and Susanna Pieternella Jansen Bailard. He lived with his parents until he was married. In the 1892 census he and his wife are still living in Palmyra, they have a one year old daughter named Josie. Jennie LeRoy Baylord's father, Cornelius (who was born in Holland) is living with them. By 1900 Edward and Jennie have moved to Arcadia where he is a carpenter. They have the following children with them: May J.; and Willie. In 1910 they have a new addition, Isaac. Edward died between the 1925 and the 1930 census.
I believe that their daughter, Josie, died young as I find it hard to imagine a 9 year old not living with their parents.
May J. Baylord can be found in the 1915 census as a servant in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York.
Willis (William) (LeRoy) Baylord was married to a woman named Helen prior to the 1915 census. In the 1915 census they are living with his parents and their child, Robert. By the 1930 census LeRoy is listed as widowed, and he is living with his mother.

Anna Baylord
Anna Baylord was born around 1870 in Palmyra to Isaac and Susanna Pieternela Jansen Baylord. She can be easily located in the 1880 census, although her name is transcribed as Annie, at Ancestry.com at least. In 1900 she has moved to Arcadia, Wayne County, New York. She is listed as a servant in the Slaight household. By 1910 she has married to Uriah Utter, Jr. Uriah Utter, Jr. had previously been married to a woman named Mary (they had two children in the 1900 census: Bertha; and Floyd). Scrolling Back a little into Uriah's family history we find a connection to Cora Utter that married Oscar Baxter. Cora and Uriah Jr were brother and sister. Uriah Utter, Jr. predeceased his wife, his obituary can be found 1936. Uriah and Anna Baylord Utter did have one child that was their own, his name was Calvin.
Willis (William) Baylord
William Baylord was born around 1872 in Palmyra, the son of Isaac and Susanna Pieternela Jansen Baylord. By 1910 he was married to a woman named Jennie. I can follow him in the census' until 1940. I do not believe that he had any children.
